Deciding to study can be a difficult thing to do on your own. That's why IT Masters has dedicated Course Advisors who are here to provide you with all the essential information you need and an answer to every question you may have. Above all – they're here to listen!

Masters Course Options

To qualify for a Master’s degree, applicants should hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited Australian tertiary institution. However, if you don’t have such a qualification, you can still gain entry to the Graduate Certificate based on your professional achievements and/or employment history. Completing the Graduate Certificate will make you eligible to pursue a Master’s degree, and you’ll receive credits for the relevant courses.

Graduate Certificates Course Options

If you haven't completed a university degree but have professional experience, you can start your Masters via the Graduate Certificate Pathway. The Graduate Certificate is simply the first four subjects of your Masters degree. Once you complete them, you can continue with the last eight subjects of your Masters or elect to graduate with a Graduate Certificate.

Subject Credit for Industry Certifications

Have a look at our Credit Finder to see what you might be eligible for. If you have certifications that aren’t on the course credit map, they can be assessed when you apply for the course. A maximum of 50% of your subjects can be claimed as credit.

You can also get subject credit for completing three of our Free University Short Courses.

Subject Credit for Academic History

If you’ve previously completed some postgraduate study, you may be eligible for academic credit. For academic credit to be awarded, approximately 80% of the content of your completed subject should overlap with an IT Masters or Charles Sturt University equivalent. Charles Sturt will formally assess your academic history upon your application for study, but we can give you an indication if you forward a transcript and content outline, for example.
